Bloxels
Bloxels is a hands-on activity in which students can create their own video games. Students use the Bloxels board, blocks and app to create their own gameboard and characters.
In this lesson, students will be creating a Superhero character to save the school. Students will plan, design and describe their Superhero using the Superhero worksheet. Students will create their Superhero on the Bloxels board. Students will record their experience by taking a screen shot of their character.

Mathematics 4.2 The student will a) compare and order fractions and mixed numbers, with and without models;
English 4.7 The student will write cohesively for a variety of purposes.
5th Grade
Mathematics 5.2 The student will a) represent and identify equivalencies among fractions and decimals, with and without models; and b) compare and order fractions, mixed numbers, and/or decimals in a given set, from least to greatest and greatest to least.
English 5.7 The student will write for a variety of purposes: to describe, to inform, to entertain, to explain, and to persuade.
C/T K-2.2B. The student will use software and simulations to complete projects.
